Generation Zero Zone: Building Back A Net Zero Future
The NZAPPG will bring together a strong collaboration of political, business and community leaders to re-think and showcase how today’s generation hold the key to unlocking net zero innovation and green growth. To reach net zero targets and ambitions we need an urgent reset and transition to green jobs, skills and technologies. If we fast forward to 2050 it will be Generation Zero – those born after 2000 – who will be the architects, designers and creators of a net zero future. The time to build back and plan a net zero future is now.
At party conference the NZAPPG will launch a national competition, in collaboration with MPs, to appoint 50 young people to become UK climate action champions – Generation Zero Ambassadors – who would continue to represent their cities at COP26 on the road to 2050; helping to shape the future built environment and leave a lasting legacy from this year’s COP26.
The day of fringe events will take place in the Youth Zone in the main conference centre. They will provide a pre-COP26 opportunity to look to the future and to re-imagine our cities and focus-in on how to deliver net zero growth for Generation Zero – the generation who will live, work, rest and play in 2050 net zero communities.
